Club Guns

Because of the provisions of the Firearms Act, Home Office Approved clubs, such as FDPC,  can provide firearms and ammunition to members "whilst engaged in target shooting", without the need for them to hold a personal FAC.

The club has invested in a number of firearms to enable members to take part in most competitions that the club runs. This includes full-bore, small-bore and muzzle loading firearms - but not LBRs, LBP,s and Sec 1 shotguns - these fall outside of the Home Office exemption. However, provision can be made to enable members to become familiar with those latter firearms and the discipline that require their use.

Club guns are usually available (together with ammo) on Club days. However, if you want a specific firearm, drop the committee an e-mail, and the holder will do his best to meet the requirement.

The club currently holds the following, for use by members......

  • .44 Revolver Muzzle Loading Uberti
