Other Venues

 

The Club sometimes shoots at other venues - by booking the ranges, or by invitation to Open competitions.

 

Where these are shown on our Diary page, ask the committee, as it's likely members are attending and can help with entries, travel etc.

 

Bisley - The home of UK shooting and the NRA. Lots of ranges; lots of shooting ; lots of clubs and shops. Everyone should visit at least once - you then go again and again. Plenty of details on the NRA website.

 

 

Mendip Shooting Ground - The venue for our Clay Challenge. Offers plenty of Clay shooting  via a multi- trap complex in the woods, and two Skeet layouts. Directions and a lot more detail on their website at  http://www.mendipsg.co.uk/.

 

 

Members often travel to Shield Shooting Centre, near Dorchester. This is a multi range complex that hosts major Practical events and has a useful shop and clubhouse. Derby R&PC - Derby is a popular venue for Gallery Rifle competitions - their Summer matches are probably the largest GR Comps outside of Bisley.  More Details at  http://www.drpc1999.com

 

 

Mattersey - The home of Bianchi shooting in the north (well - north of us !) A long trip, but well worth it. More details of the club at http://www.matterseyrapc.org.uk
