Anglo - Shepton Mallet

 

The main Club range is situated at the Anglo Trading Estate, Shepton Mallet - the old Anglo Brewery complex.

 

This comprises two indoor ranges -  25M (9 lanes) and 50M (8 lanes), both with turning targets. Both ranges are certified for Small-bore, CF Gallery Rifle and Black Powder (although BP will be limited to the 25M range at the present). In addition, FB rifle (223 / 7.62 etc) can be shot prone or benchrest on the 50M range.  Note : there is no provision for shotgun or HME firearms at this range.

 

The range also benefits from a fully furnished Club room (with food / drinks vending), Gun room, work room and modern Ladies / Gents / Disabled toilets. In addition, free Wi-Fi, a fully monitored electronic access control system and CCTV, for members safety and security.

 

The range is open for general practice between the hours of 07:00 and 23:00 on Mondays to Fridays, 09:00 to 23:00 on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank or Public Holidays.

UPDATE - Jan 2017

 

At Anglo Range, the club now has a electronic Tablet that captures Range Attendance. Just swipe your range pass on the RFID reader (NOT the tablet screen !!) and it will identify both you and your registered firearms. Select your attendance reason (Practice, Training or Competition), and then select you firearms used (if any) from the dropdown list. Finally, press Register; that will record  Name, date / time, reason and firearm on the attendance database. Don't forget to then put your Range Voucher in the postbox, to pay for your attendance. To update your registered firearms list, e-mail the secretary with new firearms' make / type / serial no.
