The Practical Shotgun (PSG) Competition           (Previous Results)

 

Firearm - Any multi-shot shotgun. Generally open iron sights (i.e. no dots or scopes). Usually birdshot ammunition (sometimes SG) – preferably with fibre wads. Approx 50-60 rounds required.

 

Target - Various - IPSC Paper, Skittles, Clays. Steel Plates, Plus No-shoot (Red) penalty targets.

 

Scoring - Usually comstock (score / time).  Paper targets usually require 2 hits (using SG); Reactive targets must fall to count (5 points per target). No-shoots / misses / procedurals all incur –10 points penalty.

 

Procedure -  Stages to be described on the day, but may include speed shoots; field stages; RH & LH shooting; load 1, shoot 1. etc. Timing by shotwatch.
