The Western Winner (or WW1500 as it's known) has been run by FDPC in its current format since 2003. Before that, it ran as the West Country's premier Police Pistol Competition (PPC), attended by shooters from across the UK.

 

The event is an Open Competition comprising several Gallery Rifle matches - commonly the 1500, T&P1, Multi-Target and others, such as T&P2 or the 1020. Details of all these matches can be found on www.galleryrifle,com

 

The events are open to all Club members and FAC holding guests, and commonly attracts entries from all over the UK. It is a Classified Event - meaning it's run in compliance with national rules and thus scores are recognised for National Gradings (under the GRID system). This also means it attracts a wide range of capabilities from National squad members to beginners. However, all competitions are run in divisions, so all shooters compete against their equals.

 

The events can be shot using any Gallery Rifle - GRCF (Std, Open or Classic), GRSB, LBP and LBR's. Prizes are awarded for all events depending upon number of entries, but winners are always recognised. Over the years FDPC has been lucky to be supported by a number of sponsors - however our key one is the Sportsman Gun Centre. Please continue to support them fully !!
